We situate art and love at the centre of our efforts to protect wildlife and natural habitat. We envision a biodiverse world fuelled by love for wildlife and art.
We provide a space where people
can show their love for wildlife and art in support of biodiversity, creativity, and
living more sustainably.
We organize art-based fundraisers for select environmental charities dedicated to protecting wildlife and promoting more sustainable ways of living.
Hi there! I established SHOW YOUR LOVE! to fuse two things that I love: art and wildlife! I'm inspired by people and organizations who work tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable creatures and ecosystems on our planet, to save species from extinction and to safeguard biodiversity. SHOW YOUR LOVE! is my way of contributing to their vital work.
I grew up in the countryside of Prince Edward County, the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg, Wendat, and Haudenosaunee peoples, and this is where I discovered my love for animals and ecosystems. One day, when I was four years old, I watched my Mother draw with her steady, graceful hand portraits of my sisters and me, and during these moments my love for art was born.
I hold a P.H.D. in Planning from the University of Waterloo and a B.F.A. from Concordia University. My career has taken interesting turns, starting in the film & TV industry, then transitioning to the environmental sector. I live and work in the beautiful Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula area.
Esther is a recent graduate of McGill University with a Masters in English Literature and currently exploring careers in arts/environmental non-profit fundraising. She is extremely excited to be in the position of Fundraising Team Lead at SHOW YOUR LOVE! and will be in charge of organizing sponsors for annual fundraising events.
Esther is passionate about using art and storytelling to express the beauty of nature in our everyday lives and art as a form of environmental activism to support climate action. She believes art can not only be an important tool to communicate the urgency of the climate crisis with others, but also a way to express what the natural world means to us.
Beyond her work for SHOW YOUR LOVE!, Esther is a strong advocate for animal welfare and a former writer for the VegOttawa Association, an organization promoting the environmental and ethical benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. Esther currently lives in Montreal, and when she doesn’t have her head in a book, loves reading her poetry at open-mics around the Plateau, hiking up Mont Royal, and going on weekend camping trips with her dad in Frontenac Park.
Roswitha initially planned on becoming a scientist; however, shortly after graduating from the University of Guelph with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences, she decided to completely change her career path and study art at Sheridan College. She wants to pursue a career in either graphic design or the environmental non-profit sector and is looking forward to gaining experience with SHOW YOUR LOVE! as a Social Media Specialist with a focus on engagement.
Having a background in seemingly opposite fields, Roswitha eagerly finds opportunities to combine science and art to create newfound interdisciplinary perspectives. She believes visual communication is a great way to show support for environmental issues, and she recognizes the power of social media as a tool to spread awareness. In her opinion, every small action counts when it comes to creating a better world.
When Roswitha is not thinking about ways to save the Earth, she spends her time experimenting with various drawing materials, cooking different cuisines, and taking unnecessarily long walks in the woods. While she wants to travel the world someday, she’s currently living in Milton.
